Stopover off the M6 around Manchester

Travelling south this weekend and would like to stop for the night, can anyone recommend somewhere decent just off the M6 around the Manchester area.

Lamb Cottage Caravan Park nr. Sandiway ( 15mins from the M6,Junct 19. travel towards Chester on the A556 ) This is an adult only site,all pitches have water and waste facilities,and the toilet facilities are excellent.They have a web-site,and the owners stay on site.Approx.8mins from Northwich.

Maureen again.Just in case you are a member of the Caravan Club.....there is a CL which is only about 5/6 mins.from Junct 19 of the M6.

you'll find it on page 280 under the heading Northwich ( Mrs Wilkinson )We have used this one for the same reason as you when travelling south and were quite happy with it.
 
There's a site on the A57 going towards Manchester about 3 miles off the M6 JUNCTION 21. I reckon this is closest to motorway, though it's name escapes me. It's next to Warburton toll bridge over the Manchester ship canal.
