Hi

Can anyone recommend a site enroute to Cornwall, looking at a stop over just one night in the Exeter area.

Doesn't matter what the site is like as long as it is very close off the M5 and have hookup.

Thanks.

Minnows CC campsite off junction 27 of the M5 is an ideal stop off site. Its 5 minutes easy access off the M5, and for walks/dogs etc it has direct access to the canal path of the grand western canal which leads to country pub in Sampford Peverell. Exeter is 25 minutes down the M5.

no probs. I cant really think of any other site with such good access onto the M5 in Devon. If you need any more info please ask as I am only a couple of miles away from Minnows. :)

Another site close to main road is Exeter Racecourse Caravan Club site.

Good for overnight stop. Dog walking round racecourse perimeter.

Hamer
another good suggestion, but it depends which way Lisa is going to Cornwall, if via Okehampton and the A30 the Exeter racecourse site is on the wrong road and she will have missed her turning. If via Plymouth and the Tamar bridge then its ok.

Hi Chelsea

Our destination is around Tintagel area. We are travelling from Notts and have decided to take an overnight break around Exeter this time.

Thanks for your help again.

If you are staying at Minnows can you kindly remove your dog's dumps from the canal towpath please. I'm going there soon and I'd hate for myself or my pooches to tread in it :O)

You could also try Holman's Wood, about 6 miles from the end of M5, or Kennford, about a mile along the A38 from end of M5. Both are also good stopovers if you are using the Plymouth /Roscoff/Santander ferry.
