Hi all, I'm actually writing from NZ, ( a great place for a camper-van trip if anyone is interested), but am looking for options where I could have a caravan or relatively large trailer stored in northern germany, france, netherlands etc. We would be looking to fly into europe once or twice a year, and have the caravan delivered to our destination to save on long distance driving. We're considering Italy and Denmark as destinations in the first few years, starting next european summer, so have plenty of time. Does anyone know of reputable companies offering both secure storage ( under cover would be ideal) and also longish distance delivery. Many thanks

Sounds adventurous. Sorry I cannot help. I feel what you are looking for is far from the norm, and will be difficult to find and to manage. You would also need to hire a tow car with a tow bar fitted.
In my opinion. It would be best to do the reverse of what we would do when visiting New Zealand. And hire a motorhome. There are opportunities throughout Europe and the relevant laws would all be taken care of.

Yup, adventurous, and definitely far from the norm... Full disclosure, we're really looking to store a trailer with 6 boats on it ( similar size and weight to a large caravan). I'm finding plenty of storage options on the web, but really struggling to find an outfit who could move the trailer around for us. Hiring a car and towing ourselves is possible, but split between 6 of us and short on holiday time for long distance travelling we'd rather find a pro to tow it for us and meet us there.
There are some specialised sailing places for this, but they are tailored for the olympic circuit etc.
