Anyone been here?

What's it like?

Are the pitches ok?

Are there dog walks?

Sorry for taking the micky jo-anne.

p.s. I'm still waiting for my commission.

We went to the Stover site 6 years ago, we liked it!

It's very close to the main road which leads into Newton Abbot, the traffic is busy during the day, but it wasn't that bad that it disturbed our stay! Trago Mills it just across the road, so you would need to keep your hand firmly on your wallet!! LOL

The site has/had grass and hardstanding pitches, there are no facilites. The dog walk was miniscule, but you are 50 yards away from the Stover Country Park, so lots of doggy walks there!! :O)

Well get yer Shell Suit packed and charged with static and her ladyships pink velour track suit and you'll be ready to pop across the road to Trago Mills. (http://www.bbc.co.uk/devon/news_features/2004/trago_fire/trago_fire.shtml and do read the comments) Rebuilt now.

The caravan site looks OK LB, but it's a little to close to home for us so we've only seen in through the fence from Stover Country Park that it adjoins where we walk our two dogs when I'm forced to visit Trago mills, bribed with a Pastie to keep me quiet and left to look at the trains and model trains.

If 114 acres is OK for your dawgies you'll be fine but look out for the water birds on the lake. http://www.devon.gov.uk/stover_country_park.htm

Trago is not my favourite place but I always check out the tools dept for some good bargains and motor oil. Alluminium towing sockets and plugs have been one regular bargain rather than plastic one.

Thanks all, we were staying near there in November at Dornafield but didn't know about this site although it was probably closed then.

While at Dornafield we went to Trago Mills :O( well Her Ladyship did, I stayed in the car and read the paper same as I do when she goes to the one in Falmouth. I prefer the view looking over Falmouth harbour than the one in Trago :O)

My main concern is the dog walk and it sounds ideal.

No no , at the country park if you leave her ladyship to grace Trago with her presence whilst you walk the dogs.

I would have thought you would have had a look around at the small trains and the model trains around the back at Trago LB.

We went there mid-week in November and I don't think it was running. The boss wanted to go back and this happened to be a Saturday and it was heaving, I couldn't even find a parking space plus the heavens were opening so gave up.

Yes, but her ladyship may want to be dropped at the door and then be collected with her car load of high fashion item purchases after LB has paraded the dawgies around the lake.

I see what you mean about the comments Jason. I did have a chuckle :O) What was even more funny was the ones attacking Trago were the ones with the crap chav spelling, the very people who you would have thought loved the place. Perhaps they were just venting because they could no longer half inch their gear any longer :O(
