Perhaps you're thinking of Warwick Racecourse?

We have just come back from Warwick caravan club site,

I hope someone from the C&MHC's top table are aware that their site Warwick racecourse although it's owners are the jockey club and C&MHC just manage it, that the site is totally open for anyone just go swanning and driving round the site no security whatsoever, one chap came driving by me at the water tap on Sunday morning and asked could I tell him where the car boot is, he might of been after a caravan or motorhome,

Stratford Racecourse was a C&CC site many years ago but is now run as a private one.
