Just bought this awning after seeing it on site. Can anyone tell me of any good tips etc. when putting up the awning or when using the awning on site. Thanks very much.

It's dead easy to erect and use. Lay out the three "poles" The two of the same size are the ones that fit from the roof corners to the floor; the other goes around the awning. Helps to have one person pushing the poles into the sleeves from the bottom while another person guides the poles through. As with other awnings, zip the doors before pegging out. Start at the 'van and make sure you peg the awning as close to the van body as possible. Then peg the other end of the awning near the van again.

When dismantling, do not pull the poles out of their sleeves - feed/push through from the top.

Another tip is to fit 2 rubber suckers (the type that fit on the end of awning poles that rest against the van) on either end of the pole that runs horizontally around the awning. This will prevent any dents in your van if it gets very windy and the awning moves about.

You will have to put a small cut in each sucker so it will fit over the pole and canvas.
