Has anyone got one of these awnings, the 390 one. I know they are not as robust as a proper awning but I would like to have an unbiased opinion of them. Weight is an issue for us so something light weight like this might just fit the Bill. Oh yes, I have seen one on site looks reasonable quality.

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

The Sunncamp 390awning is very light in weight. Can be a bit of a pig to put up but if you've loads of patience you'll be ok.I wouldn't want to in a gale with one and I would say that the life of one of these awnings wouldn't be much more than about 4yrs as they are a bit frail.I suppose it boils down to you pays ya money and takes your pick so to speak.Jim

Paul

I have the 260 and it's a great weekend awning. Easy to put up, so I would imagine the 360 is just as easy tp put up only one section more. Mine is starting to let water in after two seasons, so i'm going to try and re waterproof it. If it does not work I will be buying a 390

I've got one, but only used it once. Great awning but not suitable for vans with doors infront of the wheel arch, like my Pageant Bordeaux. The wife wants to sell it so who am I to disagree?

It will be on the adverts section later today (providing I can amputate the kids from the computer!!)

hi we have the 260 suncamp and it is very good we have used ours for a 2 week hol and found it ok can get 2 chairs and a table in no problem

we have had ours up in strong wind and it stood up very well only thing i would say its does blow through the sides and can make a noise but i am talking strong winds they are great value for the money and easys to wrap up if wet not like a big awning

and easy to put up thread one end in and peg and do the same with the middle then end it is easier and stops it moving then finish pegging all round then

hope this helps

We had a 390 and it lasted just one and a half seasons. We left it up for 5/6 weeks in the hot summer of 2006 and the material perished. Easter last year we took it down in a light wind and the fabric tore, the dealer we bought it from said it was due to fabric 'degredation' - (his word not mine). I am looking for a sturdier porch awning for this year.
