Sunncamp v Portico

We currently have a Portico Plus, but other messages mention the Sunncamp & we are wondering how this compares to our current awning. Reading other reviews it seems easier to put up, but is it relatively sturdy as we go to Scotland for most of our holidays & particularly when we pitch near the coast the wind can be strong. How would the Sunncamp stand up to this type of weather & how is it constructed...ie: is it flexible poles that you feed through channels or does it all come in one piece that you just open out? We had seen the slightly larger Sunncamp Plus and would probably look at this.

Hi Sarah what van have you got? I would check the post 'read this before buying a suncamp' we just did and now are unsure if it is going to fit our abbey? It seems OK on the bailey range and our neighbours are very pleased with theirs. It does seem limited to only being available in blue? If you find it in any other colour would like to know...thanks

Hi there, thanks for the reply. We've got a Bailey Loire, so think reading the review you refer to, that we would be okay on that score. As you mention it does seem to be available only in blue, but will keep on checking as we haven't decided for sure whether or not the Sunncamp would be sturdy enough for us.
