I am not sure if my recent drinking water tank gauge installation triggered this problem, the timing certainly points that way however the work have just completed went nowhere near either the fridge or control panel electronics. However that being said, I did run the tank gauge sensor wire across the bottom of the bottom of the fridge locker and I did install the gauge alongside the AC50 - so I guess I may be guilty of disturbing something :-(
Similarly the tank gauge sensor and 12v+/- feeds are totally independent of the AC50 however the wire passed through the same void above the entry door so I may have disturbed something but the plugs are still secure and everything looks as it should be .
The AC50 appears dead with the entry light switch and battery condition gauge now inoperable, metering shows no 12V+ to these switches, similarly there is no 12V to the Thetford fridge control board. I ran a 12V+ feed from the battery to the AC50 switches and the light/battery condion gauge worked.
Everything thing else appears to be working as it should, the lights, taps, cooker, radio. heater etc are all working fine.
I have metered every fuse I can find and all are fine, my next and very reluctant step is to pull the Nordelettronica NE2006 CW unit out of its' cabinet to investigate but based on past experience this is pretty well unsupported downunder and from what I can see, there is very little documentation available.
I am convinced this is a fuse or perhaps relay issue, do the members who know about this sort of thing concur that the control panel issue is probably related to the fridge problem and have any suggestions about troubleshooting. Perhaps I have triggered the Habitation protection - I know nothing about this but I guess it can be tested/bypassed.
I guess the good news is that the combined controller and fridge failure suggests that this unlikely to require replacement of the fridge - or am I being a bit too optimistic
Any suggestions or comments appreciated and welcomed with open arms,
Cheers
Mike
