Swift Challenger 560 island bed - extension?

We have a Swift Challenger and the rounded edge of the island bed is too short. I've been looking online for extensions and found this product: https://www.straight2sleep.co.uk/
Pretty expensive at £285 for the cheapest option 🙂oops🙂 so I wondered if anyone had found any other solutions? I am thinking it might be worth trying to make something ourselves with foam cut to size.

If you are looking to make the bed longer, could you use one of the Swift 'mattress blocks' that fit at the top of the bed, problem with them is that once the bed is longer, it is more difficult to get sround the end of the bed

Thanks for the suggestion. The bed reaches the opposite wall, so unfortunately there's no room for anything at the end of the bed. The only solution I can see would be something to fit to the rounded corner of the bed.

I have just checked the 560 layout and see your problem, the only other suggestion I can think of, is to replace the rounded edge mattress with a domestic one to fit.

Not sure if it is possible or solves your problem but how about turning it head to toe to sleep on so the rounded corners are beneath the pillows?

We had a look at this island bed but i found it to short and my wife would have trouble getting around so we went with the twin bunks but for you i would turn it around and see if it suits .
