Sorry but no. I thought you might be interested to know that the hotel is still closed but planning permission in for conversion to flats. Must have been a great site- we visited the lake this spring.
Yea it was a great site, right on the waters edge but the countryside act came out in the 60s and the site was pulled back to the field next to the hotel and was closed down in the 70s. I can still recall the smell of bacon and eggs drifting across the tarn at 7 in the morning as all the mums started breakfast and all the dads were out running us kids ragged. one of the happiest times in my life and a great introduction to the countryside which live on in me today.
I live a couple of minutes away, Carlisle City Council sadly took it over a couple of years ago from Cumbria County Council. Since then the majority of what they call "improvements" have had people in uproar, try googleing it.
