Tap microswitches

Hi All

I have a Swift Challeger 480 (2006), fitted with Comet Roma single lever mixer taps. The microswitch on the kitchen tap appears to have failed at the end of our Christmas trip yesterday and we are planning to go away again on Friday (before our local dealers reopen after the break). I intend to wire in a parallel hand operated switch as an interim measure. I remember reading somewhere that these switches operate the pump when the circuit to them is broken, not when the circuit is made. Can any experts out there confirm this or otherwise?

Thanks for your help and Happy New Year to all.

Regards

Paul

Hi paul.

One of the micro switches went on my Swift challenger 530.We don,t use the shower in the van so i just changed the switches over. You could try this if you don,t use your shower.Obviously it depends on the switches being the same.

The microswitch operates the pump when the circuit is made, not broken.

The switch is only completing the positive circuit, nothing to do with the negative return.
