Tea Tree Oil - be careful

Just a word of warning for anyone who uses Tea Tree oil - don't let it come in contact with your vanity basin or surround. It seriously damages the plastic. We've just had to buy a replacement basin because I dropped a few drops of tea tree oil into the old one. The surface became blistered and roughened and the blisters showed up as dirty marks in the surface - nasty. Keep it well away from this area.
 
I read on this Forum that Listerine mouth wash had a similar effect. What about creating a list of things that can damage sinks etc.

When we first got our caravan we were about to clean out the Fridge with our normal cleaner only to have STOP yelled at us by our good friend who told us that this could damage the plastic.

Could save a lot of people
