WE WOULD DEARLY LIKE TO ADD AN ADDIDITONAL BED TO THE INSIDE OF OUR 2 BERTH VAN (SWIFT ACCORD 470) TO ACCOMMODATE OUR SON INSIDE WHEN IT IS A BIT TOO COLD FOR THE AWNING/ANNEXE WHICH WE ALREADY HAVE.(We do heat it for him too)

WE HAVE BEEN TOLD YOU CAN BUY A KIT TO ADD A BED BUT SO FAR HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIND OUT ABOUT ONE.

ANY IDEAS PLEASE

(ps unfortunately, we cant upgrade to a 4 berth yet and in any case are very pleased with the van in general.

Many thanks if you can help.

When we had a 2 berth we got a camp bed which fitted between the front 2 singles. It was lower than the singles but came in handy and was easily stored when not requiered. Just got to be careful that you measure the space between the seats as not all camp beds fit.

A camp bed on the floor between two single beds brings back nightmares of being an 8yr old relegated to said camp bed?

The problem was my much older cousin and her boyfriend were either side of me, our parents certainly knew what they were doing though!!

An airbed on the floor between the two singles solved our problem. Just make sure you don't forget it's there and stand on the occupant if you get up during the night - or knock a glass of water off the centre chest of drawers by accident.

Not knowing the age of said son, I suggest it might be an idea to ask him. The choice between sleeping in the same space as your parents, or in your own area, even if cold, is a difficult one. A good duvet may be a better answer.
