Temporary Storage in Northern France

We are thinking of visiting the continent twice next year. Rather than drag the caravan from France to Derbyshire after our first visit, then back again about4-6 weeks later, we wondered if anyone has any advice or information about temporary storage sites some where about 100 miles from Calais?

Hello Michael.

Before you spend much time following-up any suggestions that might appear in reply to your question, contact your insurance company and tell them ( honestly ) what you are planning to do.

We considered a similar plan but found that we were unable to arrange any worthwhile insurance.

Olly.

Why not ask the site you're staying on for your first holiday if they know anywhere? That way you won't have to take your van far at all - they may even store it on site themselves if you're going in low season.

Insurance is probably the biggest problem today. When I did it years ago I insured it through DREWE, but since then I believe that they have changed their policies. Contact them and see if they still do it.
