Can someone tell me how to change the text size as it seems to be getting smaller and smaller.

To make the forum page bigger hold down Ctrl and press + and to decrease the size of the page hold Ctrl and press -
There's no method of effectively altering text size unless you use the drop down list from the top right of the reply box which just makes the text appear bolder.
