The Big Bang at Kingsbury Water Park

Stayed two nights at the above site and was laid in bed on Monday night watching TV and about 10.50pm
there was this almighty bang? boom? Explosion? Earthquake? the ground shook and the van rocked.
Got up and went outside and the place was packed with other campers all coming out of there vans/motorhomes.
Five or six wardens running around with high beam torches trying to find the source. with no luck.
Went into the office next day and asked if they knew what it was, nope sorry dont know.
So my question is was any one else in the area and do you know what it was,
perhaps Parksy being from that area could shed some light on the matter.
took a while to get to sleep after that.
 
Probably just the local yobbos with fireworks, they've started already this year.
There is a firing range nearby but I doubt they use it at night - there is a big oil/fuel depot nearby but half of Britain would be obliterated if that went up!
 
There was heavy rain in the area on Monday, could it have been thunder?
There is a factory just on the edge of the Water Park, about half a mile from the camp site just on the other side of the motorway, which mills heavy castings and fabrications. I know that it has sometimes done night shifts. If a problem arises and a tool breaks or crashes the job, it can cause an almighty bang and shake the ground, but I doubt it would be strong enough to cause the disturbance you have reported.
Perhaps it was a problem on the M42?
Did the wardens check to see if they had as many caravans as they booked in?, it might have been an alien caravan abduction!
