The gower and tenby

Hi all

Our main summer holiday this year is aimed at or around the gower for a week then moving 40 miles further on towards tenby for a week.

has anyone got any good sites to recomend at either location?.

site has to have electric hook up, play area for a seven year old but not as big as the large haven type sites which just seam to want to charge a fortune as will be going the last two weeks in August.

Any ideas greatfully received

Cheers

John

Hi John,

A nice site in gower,is Bank Farm in Horton, overlooking Port Eynon.

Lovely site with fantastic views.Small play area, swimming pool,shop,bar/restaurant,tennis court, indoor play area.

Book early as its busy over the holiday period.I know you want electric, but for anyone else reading, the c and cc and the caravan club run holiday rallies over the summer period.Hope this is of some help.

Not a bad site, we stayed there a couple of years ago. Didn't think much to the food in the restraunt, and the beer was a bit watery, otherwise a good site.

Hi John,

I can recommend Well Park, near Tenby. We have stayed on this site a few times over the last couple of years. It's 1 mile from Saundersfoot, and 1.5 miles from Tenby. There is a small club/bar on site but we have never used it. There is a play area for the little one and also a tame fox that appears from nowhere time and again.

It's not a very big site so advisable to book early as it can get busy.

Another site we use is Meadow House, near Amroth, about 5 miles from Saundersfoot. This site is a largish static site with a seperate touring field. Again this site has a play area, also an indoor swiming pool which is attached to the club/bar, so while the wife is in the pool with the little one you can enjoy a pint in the bar and watch then enjoying thenselves through the big windows inside the bar.

Hope this helps
