The Kitchen Sink

Recently went to the local county Show, and nosed around a good selection of caravans.

One thing that did catch my eye, was that a lot of the vans had a single round sink - and NO draining board.

What is going on here?

Not that we often wash up in the van, but it is useful to have somewhere to put down wet things so that the water will run away, and a metal area to put down hot pans.

We have the same- dont spend money on the curved drainer we put a small draining rack onto a plastic tray. All packs away when you need preparation space.

Anthony, the curved drainer comes with the van. If theres not one on there you were ripped off.

The van we have just bought has a round sink with the clip on draining board.

It does look like it gives more work space.

Anthony, the round wooden board is a cover for the sink as well.
Yes - you're right it is a cover, but it doesn't work for us or we dont work with it!!You could only cover the sink when fairly empty to use in that position, and although it has a certain homely appearance we just dont use it.

Hi Lisa

If you have a straight run of work top it probably does but ours is L shaped, cooker on left and round the corner to sink on the right, the corner in between piece is the only empty area and we stand the kettle etc there.
