No doubt everyone has seen all the media coverage of our foriegn secretary going caravanning, anyone would think she had two heads. The best though I think was the Express who stated that she used the cordless drill to connect the van to the car, probably used self tapping screws! Then they went on that she took a torch and plastic stool, the torch I think was the remote for the motor mover and the plastic stool the step!Ignorance is bliss and you cant get more blissful than that.

Also another caravan magazine, with a name much like that of the C&cc mag again does nothing to help the cause of caravanners by in three pictures show them towing caravans with the number plate illegally propped up in the back window, and another on its way to Warkworth castle with what looks like a homemade plate on the back.

Oh I couldn't agree more with you.

So many are ready to condemn our hobby/pastime and yet there is so much apathy surrounding those who could defend it on our behalf.

It makes my blood boil to see such ignorance given credibility and of the course the majority see/hear and read it and go on to believe it.

By staying silent and treating this negative media coverage with disdain the caravanning fraternity is giving lie to the fact that the twaddle being peddled is in fact true.

I'm sorry to say that the programmes that are devoted to the subject - those on the satellite channels - don't do much to enhance our image either.
