The most expensive Calor gas

I was away at the weekend and a garden centre in Rake Hampshire wanted to charge me £25.50 for a Calor 13K propane!!!This is a huge price increase on Calors recommended prices.I didnt buy it but found it elsewhere for £20.50 still £2 more than RRP.

I suspect that reporting te garden centre to Calor may have little effect. Why? Well, Calor will offer gas at the advertised prices from their own outlets, they will not be in a position to control the prices from 3rd party outlets. These outlets will in turn argue that they are offering you the service of collecting from them, rather than visiting Calor direct, so a markup is in order for extra costs to store the gas etc.

I agree one can argue this till the 'cows come home' but at the end of the day 'caveat emptor' is the rule to follow.

with the advent of the BP gas light ,light weight bottle i wonder how long it will take Calor to enter the 21st century and come with there version of the BP bottle???? Coljac
