Theford Toilet - light on for "full tank"

Hi I have a Abbey GTS 517 2008 model and the theford toilet light has come on say "full tank" the tank is empty and the light still on can any one help me with this...

Thanks in advance

Norfolk H

Does the light go off when the cassette is removed?
If it does it means that the float inside the cassette tank is, rather than misplaced, stuck in the full position , probably by a build up of toilet paper.
To confirm it is not the reed switch, with someone looking at the light, place a small magnet against the reed switch in the cassette compartment (with the tank removed, obviously)
The reed switch is a small oblong white box on the left hand side of the compartment, about half way along the wall of the enclosure,

ditto 🙂 🙂

Thank you all for the replies,
I have removed the cassette and the light is still on, I will get a magnet tomorrow and see if that make any difference.

Thank NorfolkH

If the light is still on with cassette removed then the reed switch has failed and needs replacing.
