Thetford 200 cassette

Hi
My blade lever on my thetford cassette is leaking, which is not good everytime I have to empty it. I know you can buy a new one and have looked at the thetford website on how to change them, it looks a bit complicated. Has any one changed one, is it relatively easy to do, I don't want to make things worse and end up buying a whole new cassette.
Much appreciated

Yes the Lip Seal can be changed and it is more than likely to be that than the blade.
On the top of the cassette there are (I Think) 8 screws holding the slide cover in place, and also holding the Lip seal in place.
Undo those screws, lift the old seal out, put the new seal in,,,replace the cover and screws.
Make sure you put the seal in the right way up!!.
There are two seals,,,one is for pre 2000 vans, one post 2000, get the right one

It could well be the blade seal (if it drips from around the yellow knob). I have had to change mine twice in 5 years in spite of regularly lubricating it with Thetford spray or Olive Oil. You have to remove the lip seal as Damian described to get at it, its awkward but a description of the method of replacing it can be found on the Thetford website http://www.thetford-europe.com/web/show/id=91559/langid=42
