Poor performance, takes ages to toast.Anybody have a solution other than buying an electric toaster.

Solution is to buy a toaster as the grills are awful. We never use ours preferring to use a George Foreman.

The grills work fine for grilling, but not hot enough for toasting. We grill bacon and sausages etc on ours, but toast is done in an Asda £5 toaster.

They do not even grill bacon or sausage properly and are the most useless grill we have ever had the misfortune of using.

Ours was fine for grilling toast but we then had an electric toaster as being a bit "tight" it meant that we saved our precious gas supply, and used EHU.

No solution other than buy an electric toaster, we have just a small one 2 slices.

Use a gas hob instead? You can get little racks that will hold bread over the hob.
