thetford c200 toilet flush not working

hi - my electirc blue button flush no longer flushes!

i have seen a couple of things that it may be that needs replacing but i have no ideas where to start ?

is it most likely to be the switch or the pump that has gone ??

as one is about £6 for the switch or the pump is £30 so i want to make sure i get the correct thing!

any ideas?

I always start with the cheapest if that dont work then move up the financal scale, common sence realy, I mean you wouldnt go and replace a car engine if it needed a spark plug would you?

Hello Carl

I had the same problem with my C200 electric flush. I tried the fuse which is in the outside compartment and found it had blown.

There was still power up to the fuse.

Eventualy and with great care, I removed the cover where the blue switch is. It on pegs at the bottom and is sealed with mastic. The switch and pump can be seen in the water tank and removed if neccessary.

I found that my pump had seized up, hence the blown fuse. To loosen the pump, I sprayed with WD40 (not sure about the effects on plastic) and eased the impeller round with a small screwdriver to loosen it. This was a couple of months ago and it's still working.
