Hi all,

Our casette toilet wont flush so we have fitted a new pump and it still wont flush. Can anyone tell us where to test the wiring to see if their is any current running through. Also any other suggestions to make it work. I have been onto the Thetford web site, Service section and although helpful, not really.

Linda,

I assume you have an electric flush. There is a 3amp fuse fitted, which should be visible once the cassette is removed. Perhaps this is your problem. Even if it hasn't blown, check the terminals for corrosion.

Hi Linda,Check the fuse, there is also two switches on the underside of the the toilet,

(location can be found on thetford web site)if this fails to solve your problem there is a connection block tight up between the toilet body and the back plate this sometimes gets corroded and needs replacing, but first before all this check that your getting 12volt in from the connection under the toilet!!!

Hi There

I have just finished doing the same thing. Here are the most likley places to cause problems:

The two switches - check them by testing with multimeter

The line - there may be a break in the line. Check by disconnecting from caravan and reconnect directly to the battery.

Check the fuses there may be as many as three!! There's the futery one under the bench, then there is the trip on the control board. There may also be a fuse on the line - check with your owners handbook.

If you changed the pump then the problem must be elsewhere. Can you hear the pump motor engage? If so then you may have a blockage or the hosing may have been dislodged. If you cant hear the pump then the problem is def electrical.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Lee
