Just had a new PCB board fitted to the Thetford N112 fridge in our Coachman Pastiche 470/2 2011.
After having been away in the van for a few weeks and everything working fine, cleaned the fridge and left the door slightly ajar. When ready to use it again opened the fridge door no light comes on, at this point I realised there was also no light on the front display panel either. Did all the usual checks, no dud fuses or apparenty bad connections, just one dead Thetford fridge. Tthe mobile caravan engineer who's coming to service the van says" I can do that there are a lot of problems with these boards". Long story short after 3 weeks waiting for the PCB board it's fitted and all seems ok. Engineer says check it after an hour or so just to see it's properly cold. So I check it's cold and I'm going to switch it off completely and leave the door open a bit till next needed but after being completely dead now it's permanently alive! Front on/off switch pressed nothing happens, fridge still lit up and cooling, main switch in bedding box turned off, fridge still on, pull fuse in main fuse box, fridge still on, go indoors and pull socket for mains out of wall the fridge still shining bright, so seems to be permanently powered from the leisure battery as that's all that's left. Can't seem to raise the mobile caravan engineer so it's going to be interesting trying to get the fridge fixed. Anyone else had this problem? Must be interesting if you've got to put van in storage as presumably the draw will soon deaden the battery. I suppose we better start phoning round for someone who can hopefully fix this dilemma. Does anyone know if this can be fixed and what's likely to be the problem. tWondering if this is the new board or a mistake with the wiring?
