Maximum Technical Permissible Laden Mass of the Equerry 1640kg/32.2cwt

This is just about 100% of the XT weight and so is permissible by the CC for experienced drivers

Legally Nissan as 2000Kg max tow weight so its really up to you if you consider yourself experienced

Our XT pulls the max weight 1500kg Oklahoma with ease

Hi Maryn II

The kerb weight for the XT is given as between 1520kg & 1650kg depending on model and equipment. The best advice is to weigh your XT on a public weighbridge. My XT tow's a Bailey Pageant with a MTPLM of 1364kg and I almost forget it's there. According to towsafe my XT is 1520kg which gives me 89.8% match but I'm not convinced so I will be using a weighbridge asap.

hope this helps

Mike

I have the Columbia (old Sport) and I read of one being weighbridged at 1650kg if that helps

Nissan will not be specific on kerbweight as other manufacturers are.

Thats interesting

Nissan do themselves no favours with caravanners when they refuse to be more model specific

One outfit matching website uses the lowest of the Nissan figures for all models which means they are about 200kg lighter than yours.

I have the same model XT as yours so maybe I will go out now and buy a bigger caravan!

Any manufacturer that only quotes a specific kerbweight for each model without giving a range or stating the exact level of equipment applicable to that kerbweight is not doing anyone a favour. Kerbweight is specific to each car and there can easily be a difference of up 100kg between two basically similar vehicles of the same model. If an exact kerbweight is really that important to anyone, there's no way round putting the car on a weighbridge.
