Well I dunno,I thought I had got this sorted but I have had to start again cos I "closed" instead of "submit".Here goes!

This is nowt to do with one upman ship its about one upman and one upwomanship. As I have said before me and HIMSELF are vertically challenged and a bit creaky into the bargain. We have been struggling to peer into our microwave and connect the aerial in the wardrobe. This has resulted in much muttering and sighing.

But deep joy!!! Whilst trundling around the market in Great Yarmouth.I spied a stall with some very sturdy and compact plastic steps. They fold up very flat too so very storeable. After much deliberation we decided on the pretty pink version,We want it just right you know! We bimbled back to the van well pleased with our purchase. No sooner are we in than out comes the step for testing.First HIMSELF then me.Marvellous we can reach! Well satisfied we smiled at each other in a smug self important manner and carefully packed our latest and greatest acquisition away. Time for a nice cuppa to celebrate our STEP UP in the world. It is strange how the smallest things can give such pleasure and I do not refer to HIMSELF!!Oh I dunno tho he does do a lurverly cuppa.I expect you would like to know the price for living the high life.NO? Well I am gonna tell ya any way!£4!!!And they come in blue and white too.Maybe I should have got 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TC,aren't they great? Herself is a little on the wee side, and uses one to climb into our Range Rover. She has a piece of string tied to the step, so that when she's in she can pick it up herself. Be aware, though, that they can crack across the middle two pivots with excessive use.Because of this we keep a couple "in stock", and have found them in a store called B&Ms for only

Emmerson.what a bargain!!!I shall purchase a couple of spares in case.I have the same problem as your dainty lady getting in the back of my brother- in- laws Galaxy so we shall carry one in our Jeep in case. One of the factors we kept in mind when buying a 4x4 was that it should have a side step fitted.I am to have a hip replacement so agility is not a strong point. It is a blessing(sometimes) that our youngest son is back home cos he is nearly 6ft tall. On the down side tho when he puts things away in the top cupboards in the kitchen we have to get the ladder from the garage if he is at work.He calls us the house elves but not when he is hungry!!!I dont know how he got so big as his older brother and sister are just not tall.He is 40 now so I think he has stopped growing dont you?

Bye for now

Highlander,

Showaddywaddy played R&R and wore crepe soled shoes.

T.Rex, MTH and Slade were the bands reknown for wearing Platforms, other Glam rockers to wear platforms were your fellow countrymen, The Sweet,

best regards, Martin
