But can anyone tell me what the "animal" is which appears on the Avondale logo - I think it is supposed to be a panther - my OH says not. Please can anyone settle the argument for us!!!
 
It's a panther.

It was first used on the export Panthere range of oversized tourers sold on the continent around 1994. These were not badged as Avondales. This range turned into the original Land-Ranger. You sometimes see Pantheres used by travelers. Orinally the panther logo was just used on the Land-Ranger, but in the end used on all models.
