Nor me mine. Must be something to do with the Bank Holidays - I hope so anyway and thay've not 'lost' my details. Mind you, now i come to think of it, i was missing one earlier in the year and ended up ringing to ask if it had been sent, they just put another in the post, you could tell by the packaging that it wasn't from the normal dispatch run. The 'proper' one never did turn up.

Dear All

We only got our copies in the office today so subs copies should be with you today or tomorrow. As you say though, all these bank holidays do rather mess up the distribution. Mags into shops will be delayed by a day or two so you should still get your subs copy early tho!

Regards and apologies

I cancelled my subscription a couple a couple of years ago as I frequently found I could buy a copy in a shop before mine arrived. I bought June’s copy this morning and was pleased to see the free book enclosed. A little light reading for my next trip away.

Thank you for the info Nigel. I did see the June one in Asda this afternoon. Hope we get the little book too. Hope you're recovering well and it wont be too long before you're back at the helm.

No, I got the Alan Rogers one, the one thats available in the shops has what was either a short novel or a collection of caravaning anecdotes, i cant really remember which one, difficult to see properly through the plastic cover. Perhaps chrisbee 1 can shed some light.

So far I’ve only glanced at the cover but it looks like the story of 3 people crossing the UK in an old milk float at 12 MPH staying, I think, on camp sites. I’m at work at the moment and the book is at home.

I didn't get a book either! Mind you, if the synopsis that Chrisbee gave is accurate, please don't send me one.

Don't get too excited about the mag either. There seem to be more adverts than ever. There are endless adverts for the featured destination - good earner for Haymarket.Seems daft when almost everyone has access to the net and could easily search for themselves.

Obviously the magazine is not a charity and advertising is a necessary means of paying the bills. But I know the page counts and the number of adverts does not change dramatically from month to month.
And yes the internet is a great way of researching a destination, a caravan, a car or finding an accessory but we do hope that our readers actually enjoy the time spent in the company of the magazine each month.
Hopefully you'll enjoy the next issue more :)
