We are just comming to the end of our first caravanning season

We have a abbey aventura 320 2001 we keep it at secured site

The question is do we buy a cover for the winter or leave un covered p.s other than draining all water out is there anything else we need to get ready for winter storage??

if you do purchase a cover make sure it is a breathable one but saying that i myself tour all year round and you will be pleasantly suprised by the amount of tourers do tour all year round, there is a high number of sites now which cater all year round

Hi i also have an abbey aventura 320 2001, i have kept it under a breathable cover from pro tec covers. My caravan spends all the time its not in use under the cover, and i have had no problems ( it even stays clean)

Although there are problems associated with covers, some people maintain they cause scratches, the fact is that left in the open air your van is exposed to all that the elements can throw at it. This may be dust or leaves/sap from trees or even strong sunlight (you should be so lucky). All these will affect your pristine paintwork to a considerable degree, so covering it will minimise the effect of these pollutants.

Basicaly it is a compromise and you takes your choice. To me there is no contest and I cover as much as possible, always trying to ensure the van is clean and dry first. When I see the 'c..p' that is lying on top of the cover i feel justified.
