Steve

Not sure if your Aunts comments are correct and if so why, but after a quick look at a few pictures on e-bay & Google, to me they look like caravans normally associated with travelers, so this might explain why some sites are not keen on them??

Also I check the width of the Caravan, because I think that the max width of a caravan to be towed behind a 'heavy motor vehicle' is 2.3m. If you want to tow up to 2.5m wide the towing vehicle must have a maximum gross weight that exceeds 3500Kg

Regards, Bill

The clue is in the name - there is a definite stigma attached to them, other makes like Hobby and LMC also are affected.

I have no reason not to believe they are good vans, as William said check the width is no more than 2.3 metres and be prepared to get looks and possibly get stopped frequently by the boys in blue.

hi lads

yes the clue is in the name

our vans are mega popular with travelers and showmen as they need a strong van for year round living in and something that doesnt rot or loose its money quickly!

i mean who do you all think started caravaning !!!

we will be doing a smaller van next year to dip our toes into the home market,we are planning a 23ft model tota;ly hand made, she will retail at circa

Dear Mods,

Isn't the above post considered advertsing....
no i think dan is trying to make a very strong point, dnt look down on the roma van just because the average gypo uses them, you see is it a touch of jelousy? if the avarage man in the street could afford a good 4x4 and a good roma he,d have one! lets see a good 4x4 average

I usually interpret the no adverts rule as meaning 'no unsolicited advertising'.

I think that if someone posts a question about a product, and a supplier of that product replies with useful information, then I'd be doing a dis-service to the person who posted the query if I delete a useful answer.

My parents have 2 pitches on Villamar Camping, Benidorm and the best caravan, by far, that they or I have seen, is a Roma with a La Voose awning. Not like a caravan at all.

They have developed one site with a Tabbert comtesse and are now looking for a Roma. A bit like gold dust though, apparently.

Any tips on how to get hold of one quickly (in the next fortnight)greatly appreciated.

i often look on the Roma site on ebay and they have some lovely vans ,saw a triple axle one and also loads of crystal lights and fittings.I for one would be interested in a legal width one,I think they are the Uk cult version of the airstream
