Monday 15th of Feb, at last taking the winter cover off the Firestar to get ready for the first trip to Chatsworth 4th March, l know it's a two weeks away but better do it early just in case l find any problems, the Ace is only 18 months so hoping that's not the case touch wood ("my head l mean")

First job remove the cover then connect to the power, we are lucky the farm where we keep it provides an out side power supply from the garage, then it's a case of monitor the battery state on the digital reader to make sure the battery is to full power before l engage the mover, last year this took about 2 to 3 hours.

I would normally reverse up and hitch up but the van is in tight position, then it's the 1 mile trip to home where l will do the pre season checks, let you know how everything goes, or if l need to come back to forum for some help.

Dean not going until the 4th of March hope its all gone by then, otherwise we may have to make a decision as we have to go over the cat and fiddle road which last week still had snow on the moors and the road down into Buxton was treacherous on the hairpins

Update fetched the van home Monday has planned, no real problems when uncovered, didn't need to charge the battery had 12.8 volts showing on the vans instrument panel Truma S mover worked perfectly.

All was well inside, van just needed airing left the heating on low since Monday van temp at 9c, off to leisure sales at Breighton Green for new filters before l sterilise the water system, then it will be checking the gas system to make sure everything works ok.

Finally a shampoo and rinse for her, even the OH doesn't get this treatment, then its off to Chatsworth for along weekend on the 4th of March, just one of ten trips booked up to now, hope everyone else has no trouble when they fetch the van out of hibernation.
