Can anyone enlighten me? I have recently bought my first caravan. Everyone talks about checking the wheel nuts with a torque wrench. I asked for one at the place where I bought the caravan, but they didn't sell them. I have been to two very large caravan shops in Catterick on a recent holiday, with the caravan...in the absence of a torque wrench...but they didn't sell them either. I don't even know what one looks like. I have a Bailey Ranger 410/L year made - 2005 and it gives the maximum torque in the manual, but I have no idea whether the wheels are alloy or steel. I have googled the wrench, but so many came up with 1/2, 3/8 etc. The guy who sold me the caravan told me to buy one for 19mm...so help...pleeeeeese. I am only a girl afterall...can anyone provide the exact name, details, size, website where I can just buy one....then learn how to use it. Thanks for reading my essay. Suzanne. x

Thanks Timothy, just the info I wanted. Not that I'm too lazy to go shopping...I just work...like everyone else and time is precious. Sure looks good value for money...some listed are hugely expensive and no doubt I will have bought an inappropriate one, if left to my own devices. Thanks again. Suzanne x

Dusty if l was to torque the gas turbines and boilers l used to maintain and sign off then l would agree with you that torque wrench of a more reputable make should be used.

What are we talking about, checking you wheel nuts after a journey of 150 miles to 300 miles, then l say check the nuts with at least something that as some form verification, why spend

In my youth , when we couldn't afford torque wrenches we were taught by my uncle to do up wheel nuts FT. Never had a problem then. I'm now carrying my torque wrench, more weight.

Cheers
