Towbar & electrics Vauxhall Vectra

Has anyone had a tow bar plus twin electrics fitted to a Vectra Estate (new model). My local tow bar dealer indicated they were not interested in fitting the electrics to a new type Vectra due to the multiplex wiring on this car ! Does anyone know if the car warranty will be effected if a none Vauxhall tow bar & electrics is fitted. Any info on makes, types etc would be helpful
 
As you correctly infer, the use of a non-factory approved towbar and/or electrics may affect the warranty. The car manufacturer has obviously conducted validation tests only with his own approved accessories and will therefore be unable to accept responsibility for anything else. It doesn't necessarily mean that alternatives are worse but it is always a bit risky to use non-factory approved parts and accessories.
 
we fit a towbar to my friends 2.2 diesel sri hatch,we bought the vauxhall wiring kit may be a bit more expensive but it plugs direct into the cicuit board in the passenger side rear panel,very easy no need to cut any wires,should have no problems with warranty,hope this helps
