I have a VW Polo 1.4TDI. The only information I can understand from the handbook is as follows; Permissable GVW is 1550kg, and, under the heading 'Trailer Weights' it states, with brakes is 800kg. The year of the car is 2000. Is this car capable of towing a caravan or folding camper with these specifications?
 
Yes, but it will have to be a small and light caravan (under 800kg loaded). There are some on the market and size isn't everything. I used to tow with a Metro, the Polo is a step up from that!
