my dad &mum have just got a meriva 1.7cdti.

any feed back on this car as they have a light weight van

Unless the towbar was fitted as a factory-fitted option, a Meriva with air conditioning has a maximum permissible towload is 1000kg. Without air conditioning the figure is 1200kg before model year 2005 and 1300kg thereafter.
