Towing and car tyres

My 2005 Mondeo TDCi Estate is currently fitted with Avon CR85 winter tyres, which are particularly good on wet grass, muddy fields as well as on winter road surfaces, including snow. We use our 2003 Swift Challenger 480 right through the year and have never been stuck. But summer is here and I need to change to summer tyres. I want the same off road ability. Anyone recommend a suitable tyre?

Last year, after much research I planned to use winter tyres going as far as buying a second set of wheels - then I changed my car! - it's all-wheel drive so came on "all-season tyres" which have the best of winter and summer tyres but not as good as either in ultimate conditions.

When the OE Yokohama Geolandars wear out I intend to fit Pirelli Scorpion STR - these may be what you're looking for.

All terrain tyres will give better grip in muddy conditions but wear quickly on tarmac.
