If your caravan is wider than your towcar type approved towing mirrors must be fitted.
You must have an adequate view to the rear along both sides of your car and both sides of your caravan.
Your towing mirrors must not project more than 200mm beyond the widest part of your car or caravan except where the car was sold after 26th January 2007 in which case the limit is 250mm.
