I'll have a look in the morning for my instruction sheet, but I think they where less than useful! The guy at Towsure was much more informative, so I'll try to write a sensible procedure from what he told me.

Really useful awning, and easy for one to put up.

I had a look for instructions, and as I thought they must have been so useful I lost them!

Best road is visit Towsure, or mooch around site 'til you see a similar awning- there are lots. It is very easy to do after the first time, but don't practise in a wind.

Here is my version of the setup:

1 Unroll and check awning - there are two end doors and two front doors/rollups. Make sure all zips are shut, and curtains fastened to make it easier to handle. The external roof and sides has tubes for poles, I have put mine on the rail twice inside out!

2 Assemble ALL poles, and check you have guy ropes and good pegs -

3 x fibreglass sectionals slot together for roof,

2 x corner poles which adjust to van height, blunt one end, peg on t'other.

2 x flap poles (not mentioned in instructions anywhere - These are obviously shorter than corner poles but look similar, with peg on one end)

2 x cross "ridge" poles; these fit length ways to stabilise awning. The poles have a small hole into which you locate the screw on the adjuster, don't overtighten or you will squeeze poles

3 Slide awning into rail to desired position.

4 Slide fibreglass poles, blunt end first, into the tubes that run up awning, ensuring the end fits into the reinforcement pocket at rail. Start at one side, then other side, then middle. The pins at each bottom point slip into bottom of pole, then tighten to hold firmly. To disassemble you must loosen these first!!

5 Peg awning bottom corners tightly into van side so that foam pads are snuggly against van side, pegs will be under van probably

6 Slip under awning to the inside. Fit cross poles into roof pockets, each end is blunt, extend until tight and tie to centre of roof

7 Fit corner poles, one end blunt into awning top corner pocket, fitting behind foam pads. Extend until tight to ground.

You are know inside an almost built awning!!

The fibreglass poles need tensioning at ground level to give nice tight roof, than adjust whole awning to give best placement against van. Peg down all the bottom edges and then fit guy ropes to rings provided, pegging at angles to give tight walls and smooth sides. You will have two poles left over, these are for the front flaps if you want too use them as sunshades.

I NEVER get it perfectly straight, or smooth, or tight to van. After first time this will take 20 mins for one person to do. Removal is reverse. Don't skimp on pegs, they really take off in a wind if not pegged down properly! Hope this makes sense, but email me if not and I can answer any questions.

Simples.
