Trailers on a motorhome

As a former caravanner, who has moved to the 'other side' can anyone tell me the speed limits in Germany for unbraked trailers. A car towing a caravans limit is 50mph I think, but what is a motorhome towing an unbraked trailer carrying a small motorbike, is it the same?
Thank you
By the way, why dont caravanners way to one another? When we were in Spain, motorhommers used to toot and wave as they went past when we were tuggers.

The speed limit in the majority of countries, including Germany, is 80km/h (50mph), regardless of whether the trailer is braked or not.

Thank you.
Are these rules flouted at all? What does one do about the trucks hurling by, do they have the same limit or do they just ignore it?

Yes, the same speed limits apply to trucks. In Germany, at least, the general 80km/h speed limit for trucks and trailers is not normally enforced unless specifically signposted - usually within roadworks or other particular hazards, but there they do frequently check speeds.
Actually, the problem in delimited stretches is less that of trucks hurling by (which, if you stick to about 90km/h won't happen) but that of cars approaching from behind at more than twice that speed.
