Travel Games

Just in time for the school holidays and rainy days in the van (if like us you are heading for UK sites this year)zavvi (formerly Virgin Megastores) are offering MB travel games on buy one get one free for just £5.

I've just picked up Hungry Hippos, Guess Who, Battleships, Mastermind, Operation, Kerplunk, Monopoly and Downfall for £20.

They also had Connect 4 and Cluedo. Not sure if this is in every store, but its not on the website.

Might be worth a look if you are passing - and a few hours peace and quiet come the rain.

Nothing wrong with a pack of cards Pat! However, although I like to think my kids are geniuses (genii?? - obviously not like their mother then) they are only 2 and 4 and poker's a bit beyond them!

As for the raincoat and brolly.. got them..and wellies and waterproof suits and the kids love nothin more than jumping in puddles, but I have to say I do need a plan B when the rain is as incessant as it was last time we were away!! Not having a telly in the van we need something as an alternative to colouring in and lego..ah the life of a parent!
