Treamble Valley

Has anyone stayed at Treamble Valley near Perranporth, in Cornwall?

What is the site like? is it flat? Up to the usual CC standard?

Thanks.

Mathew

Treamble Valley site is situated in what was partly an old open cast quarry (iron ore I think). It has eight different camping sections, some in secluded glades others in open areas. It is ideally situated for visiting Newquay, Perranporth and Holywell Bay although the approach to the site is approx 3/4 mile down a fairly narrow lane. It has an excellent play area for children and the usual excellent Caravan Club standard toilet facilities. If there were awards for dog walks then this would be difficult to beat. There are various footpaths passing through the site but you do need the car to get to the beaches.

As with most sites in the area it gets busy in peak holiday

periods

Although the site is sloping all the pitching areas have been levelled.

We have been there several times and always enjoyed the site and the area.

Hi Glen

When we went a couple of years ago, we had a lovely walk over a stile from the site, along a fot path for about 5 mins and then 10 mins along the lane to a really nice olde worlde hostelry. We went two or three times and had lovely meals each time.

This is the best site we have been to and is ideally located half way between Newquay and Perranporth. It's a big site but never feels over crowded due to the fact the part is split into several sepearate sections.

The facilites are everything you would expect from the CC.

There is also a nature trail on site which forms part of the dog walking field.
