Tregurrian Caravan and Camping Club Site

We have booked to stay at the Tregurrian caravan camping clubsite in Cornwall in August, we are on grass pitch with electric. Has anyone stayed here before? Any feedback, advice regarding this site would be much appreciated. Also we are taking our son age 3 and neice age 12? Any suggestions for activities to keep them quiet (I mean busy and happy)

Thanks

There are two parts to the site, one a sort of annexe just over the road. It's best to be on the main site, as the annexe has some sloping pitches. It's typical C & CC - away from the bustle but only a short distance from the village and the beach.

It is close to a commercial site; one evening we walked around it and were shocked at the very small pitches that they had to endure.

we are going on the 10th August and can't wait for the 7 hour drive! lol. Don't know whether to drive at night or early hours yet but either way we are getting prepared for the hike.

we are going from lancashire and usually go at mid night to arrive at 7am ishhhhh but at tregurrian there isnt anywhere to park if your early so this year we are stopping off at burnham on sea for the friday night so we are all happy and refreshed.

for the last 3 years weve done the night run and feel so knackard on the saturday and for a few days after that we couldnt face it again.

the traffic on a saturday is bad getting into cornwall but its the chance you take

have you seen the web site for treggurian?? we went to see the campsite last year before we booked and its spotless the showers are perfect its seemed like a very well run well kept site, the beach is a bit if a treck maybe for a 3 year old but well worth it people come from miles around to spend the day there.

there is a carpark opposite the beach which i think is

Dazicki. Thanks for the info. Think I'll take the advice about night driving and maybe leave early morning. We also are travelling from Lancashire, Morecambe to be precise. Ya never know we may be on the next pitch. Hopefully summer will have arrived anyway. Thanks again, Dan.

oh yea forgot to say theres a web site called www.corwallcam.co.uk and its pictures from all around the area we are going to it gets updated daily ishhh so you can check the weather and that.

we found that sometimes the forcast we see on telly is nothing like the weather on the pictures also gives you an idea of the area.

Cheers for that dazicki. I'll take a look now. We got no pirate flags but keep an eye out for a black shogun sport wi the bailey ranger.
