Hi Jo-anne
I depends what you like. We are mid fifties,no kids two dogs and prefer quiet sites. Treamble is a lovely site set in old mine workings and on quite a slope. The Toilet block is more or less in the middle so an uphill walk there or back depending which side of it you are on (some lucky people have a flat walk!!). Part of the site is in smallish bays, some with hardstandings. Other parts are larger with vans in long rows. I did feel that some pitches, particularly those at the bottom of the site, did seem rather close together, whereas others seemed to have plenty of room. We were there in the middle of June and the site was very busy and often full or very nearly. The site wardens said that they rarely have spaces for those coming on the off chance. The dog walk is very good, again very sloping, and there are also footpaths leading off site - the warden has a walk sheet for sale. There is a play field which we didn't have a look at. The site is in a quiet area and some pitches have good views. I have to say we did feel rather "young" with many of the campers giving us a decade or two. I swear one of our neighbours were well into their eighties, but were happily plodding up to the toilet block (they just took longer!). Looking at the map I had thought it would be easy to get to the sea as the dunes seemed close to the site. However the army seems to have nabbed a huge area as a traning place so you do have to walk a long way to get to the sea, but worth it when you get there. At the entrance to the site there is a CL and what appears to be a small caravan site (In the same place at Little Treamble Farm,Rose, Goonhavern (look under Perrenporth in CL book,)which has electrics and could well be worth a look.
Tremble Valley is a members only site and it would be best to book
