trickle chargers

hi has any one used a trickle charger the ones that look like a phone charger to keep there battery charged if yes how long do you leave it on charge and do they work advice wellcome im fed up of buying new batterys when left in the van in storage

Hi Michael,

I was also fed up with buying new batteries for my old Lotus so invested in the Halfords trickle charger you refer to.

It totally knackered the new battery. Nearly all the electrolyte had gone.

Never again.
