Tripping Fridge

Hi all

I have just returned from 2 weeks in Cornwall where it seemed our fridge kept tripping the 13A supply. We kept tripping out the electric supply posts on the site whenever we switched the fridge on (making us very popular as you can imagine). The fridge works fine on gas and 12V.

We have a 1993 Elddis XL Typhoon and the fridge is a standard Electrolux RM2262.

Has anyone any ideas what this might be and where I start.

The mains heating element has failed and needs replacing.

As it is likely that the fridge will have to be removed to change it, you would be advised that you need a LPG gas competent person to do that for you as it involves breaking into the gas supply and refitting after, along with leak and pressure testing.
