we have recently brought a trophy ascot caravan.please can anyone give us any info on these caravans.we have researched the internet and can find nothing about them other than they had a owners club that disbanded when the person running it passed away.

It is an end kitchen model,that we believe is a 1991 model,in very good condition.we would like to hear other people reviews of these caravans.

I believe they were made in Leyland Lancashire, but like most British companies end up going bust.

We have owned two Trophies over the years, although never an Ascot. We had first a 1987 Agrarian and then a 1990 Olympic Silver. Both were good, sound mid-range vans. The company were based in Croston, near Preston and I think finally folded about 1993. We noticed over the years that they rarely got an enthusiastic review in the caravanning press, which we put down more to their limited advertising budget that to any real shortcoming in the caravans. Other owners we spoke to also found them excellent 'vans, but I am afraid, as others have noted, the press is rarely prepared to say anything critical of those companies who pay a fortune for adverting space, thus the small companies suffer - and often end up going out of business.
