Hiya every-one, I read in the instructions in my caravan that the water heater can be run on gas and electric at the same time to heat the water very quickly. My query is can you do the same with the truma space heater (if thats the correct term) as I have been lead to believe by some-one that I know?

Any ideas or thoughts on the subject?

Cheers,

When vanning in winter , returning to the van on very cold days, I put the heating on gas initially to warm the van then after about 5 mins switch the gas off and switch electric on.

Hello, I have been wondering the same. I think you can run both together, but it would be good to hear from someone that has actually done it.

Yes they work fine together, I wasn't sure about one of the two overtemp stats switching off the electric, but no that's not an issue.

Hello every-one, sorry for the delay in the reply to you, thanks for them by the way. Computer decided to let the power switch fall apart so I've unable to read or reply. On saturday I looked in John Wickershams book and found the information that I needed , and yes you can run them on both gas and electric at the same time, gas giving 3kw and electric giving 2 kw, so it should warm up nice and quick.
